Coal Train limited edition debut single

Building Dens is Coal Trains debut single and although it may not have the instant infectious quality of the usual pop rock song, it doesn’t half pack a punch. With the Sunderland dialect crunching through the melodies and sparkly San Francisco sounding guitar shining out. You can’t help but being reminded of that feeling you get when walking though a rainstorm to be greeted by glimmers of sun poking through the clouds. Meandering journeys, spontaneous adventures and the trails of growing up give the bands songs a mature outlook and sound.

Standing by their original DIY punk ethics this single will be released as a limited edition CD in hand crafted and completely unique packaging. Each of the 100 CD’s will come with a pack of wood grain stickers so the listener can build their own front cover.

This is one special little number so make sure you get to it fast before they go! You can pre-order the single from our shop now.

Nice little review from the dudes down at Centuries

‘Sunderland four-piece Coal Train wear their collective postcode with pride. The industrial landscape that fills many a view bleeds through into their work. But don’t think that this means they’re some sort of drudge post-punk band stuck in a perpetual 1982, far from it.’

Rough Trade does good!

"the band hit the gold with every track. a lo-fi synth punk joy, this is what that new devo record should have sounded like!"

If these words from Rough Trade Shop are not enough to convince you that you should be checking out Pifco and their new album, then I seriously don't know what will.
